Dr. Tirch practices Integral Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, a comprehensive form of psychotherapy that draws from the Cognitive Therapy of Aaron T. Beck, mindfulness and acceptance based therapies such as ACT, advances in affective neuroscience and Eastern meditation practices.  These therapeutic methods have a research based perspective, and have demonstrated effectiveness in the treatment of psychological problems and the alleviation of human suffering.
